Why Reach Within Matters to Us
Reach Within’s work aligns deeply with our values of integrity, care, and long-term community investment. By supporting children and youth who have endured adversity, the organisation breaks cycles of trauma and empowers them to thrive into adulthood.
Its work extends beyond emotional resilience-building — Reach Within operates a transitional living programme that prepares young people aging out of care homes to succeed at independent living.
This support is critical. Without it, many vulnerable youth face outcomes that compromise their safety and long-term wellbeing: homelessness, returning to abusive environments, or entering the criminal system.
These are not just individual tragedies — they affect the fabric and quality of life of our entire society. Reach Within intervenes at a decisive point, offering mentorship, structure, and life skills that give these young adults a real chance at stability, dignity, and opportunity.
Our Managing Director, Nisha Mc Intyre, proudly serves on the board — strengthening our connection to the cause and ensuring that our support is rooted not just in funding, but in genuine commitment, advocacy, and accountability.
How You Can Support Reach Within
There are many meaningful ways to help children and youth in Grenada build stronger futures. Whether you choose to sponsor a child, contribute to transitional living support, or fund a single programme session, your generosity directly changes lives.
Below are the main ways you can partner with Reach Within:
Support the Transitional Living Programme
Help young adults who have aged out of care access safe housing, life-skills coaching, job readiness training, and emotional support — reducing the risks of homelessness, exploitation, or entering the criminal system.
Sponsor a Child
Provide a child with consistent emotional-wellbeing programming, movement therapy, literacy support, and safe spaces designed to help them heal and thrive.
Provide a Job or Internship Opportunity
Offer a young adult emerging from the care system the chance to gain work experience, earn income, and build independence.
Sponsor Movement Sessions
Fund therapeutic movement classes that help children build self-regulation skills, reduce anxiety, and experience safe emotional expression.
Support the Literacy Programme
Help children strengthen reading, comprehension, and communication skills through specialised literacy interventions tailored to their developmental needs.
